Dental Checkups & Cleanings

When you come to see us for a checkup, Dr. Haddad won’t just take a look at your teeth, but your gums, jaw, and bite as well, keeping an eye out for any signs of decay or damage. Most oral health problems are easy to miss during their early stages, and routine checkups enable Dr. Haddad to take care of them before they can cause a big headache. These appointments are also when we can help remove plaque and bacteria from those hard to reach areas of your mouth, protecting you from decay while also giving your teeth a nice polish.

Nightguards for Bruxism

Hand holding a custom nightguard

Millions of Americans unconsciously grind their teeth while they sleep due to daily stress, and this is called bruxism. This exposes the teeth to forces much stronger than regular biting and chewing, which can severely damage them over time. To help patients get past the grind, Dr. Haddad can have them wear a nightguard to bed, which is a small mouthpiece that will prevent the teeth from coming together during the night.

Oral Cancer Screenings

As part of every routine checkup, we’ll examine your mouth and the surrounding area for any suspicious growths or sores that could indicate oral cancer. If we find something, we can help figure out if it’s cancerous or not using the OralCDx brush test. We’ll simply brush the questionable area of the mouth with a special tool, and this sample will be sent to a lab to determine what it actually is, enabling patients to act quickly if there are any signs of cancer.

Children’s Dentistry

Whether you have a toddler or teenager at home, your child is always welcome to visit our practice! We have a selection of treatments specifically designed to protect growing smiles (fluoride treatments, dental sealants, and more), and your child’s comfort will always be our top priority. As a father of two himself, Dr. Haddad understands better than most how important early-age dental care really is, and he’ll work hard to make sure your child never has a reason to dread going to the dentist.

Gum Disease Therapy

When it comes to your oral health, your gums are just as important as your teeth! They can easily develop an infection if not properly cared for, and when this happens, redness, swelling, bleeding, and even tooth loss can result. For patients dealing with gum disease, we have a reliable and non-surgical way of handling it: scaling and root planing. It’s like a dental cleaning that focuses just on your gum line and the roots of your teeth. It’s proven to eliminate harmful bacteria and even reduce a person’s risk of reinfection!

Oral Conscious Sedation

Oral conscious sedation is a safe and simple way to help patients overcome their dental nerves. Dr. Haddad will prescribe a pill for you to take about an hour before you come to see us, and while you’re here, you’ll remain awake the entire time, but you’ll be in a deep state of mental and physical relaxation. Your appointment will seem to fly by very quickly! We do require that a friend or family member drive you to and from the office when using this for your own safety.

TMJ Therapy

Can you feel those little joints near your ears whenever you move your jaw? That is your TMJ, or temporomandibular joint. Whether due to strain, arthritis, an injury, or a misaligned bite, it can sometimes develop pain and inflammation, which not only affects the jaw, but can cause chronic headaches as well. Dr. Haddad can help patients dealing with these kinds of problems by realigning their bites and providing custom-made mouthguards that can literally deliver pain relief while you sleep.
